Youth Week kicks off

Seven local bands will take to the stage at the Ballina Amphitheatre (next to the skate park) on Sunday, April 11, to rock out for the start of Youth Week.

The winners of the event will win studio time and be able to record one song at the world renowned SAE studios in Byron Bay.

The competition kicks off at 1pm and gives young bands an opportunity to perform in front of an audience.

At the Goonellabah Youth Plaza on Saturday there will also be bands, dancers, a skate competition, professional skate demos and a free barbecue from 10am to 5pm as part of Youth Week celebrations.
