Workshops for real art

See Space is located between the conservatorium and the library in Lismore (110 Magellan Street) and is utilised by RealArtWorks Inc for a creative program in visual arts, music, performance, multi-media, creative writing, drama, digital arts and digital filmmaking for artists of all abilities.

There will be an information/open day for this workshop program next Monday, January 23, from 9am to 4pm at See Space. This open day is intended to provide information on the days and times of specific workshops and allow opportunities for enrolment in workshops of interest.

If you are interested in the types of creative projects RealArtWorks do, check out their multi-media installation titled This Is Not What It Appears at Lismore Regional Gallery (until January 29).

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
