
Woman struck and killed by train at Queensland station
A WOMAN has been killed after being struck by a train at Cannon Hill station in Brisbane on Friday morning.
News Corp reported the woman was hit near the Barrack Rd level crossing about 6.45am.
Police said it was not a suicide.
"At the request of police and emergency services Cleveland line trains are suspended in both directions between Murrarie and Park Road station," Translink advised on its website
"Buses will replace trains between these stations."
"Customers can expect delays of up to 60 minutes."
News of the death prompted an outpouring of sympathy on the Queensland Police Service Facebook page.
"Poor woman, rest easily.. I lost my partner the exact same way at Loganlea station 2012,'' one post read.
