Woman repeatedly crashes car, charged with drink driving

A WOMAN who police allege repeatedly crashed into a parked car outside a home in Keen St at Lismore has been charged with low range drink driving.

Richmond Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Bill McKenna said police were called to a home on Keen St at about 9.50pm last night by a resident who was woken by a bang.

"The victim looked out the window and saw a red Holden Commodore had collided with the side of silver Ford Falcon," he said.

"The red Commodore reversed and then collided with the silver Ford on a number of occasions before it left the scene."

The multiple impacts caused the silver Ford to collide with the house.

Insp McKenna said the red Commodore, which was being driven by a woman, returned to the scene a short time later.

"The female was breath tested and arrested."

Insp McKenna the 53-year-old woman was taken to Lismore police station where she recorded a low range reading of .071.

She was charged with low range PCA and will attend court at a later date.
