Woman charged over double murder

A WOMAN wanted over a double murder in Sydney three years ago has been extradited from Italy and is behind bars.

Brothers Albert Frisoli, 56, and Mario Frisoli, 52, were stabbed to death inside their Rozelle home in May, 2009.

Strike Force Asca was established to investigate the grisly killings.

Homicide detectives were granted arrest warrants for a 53-year-old woman in Italy last month.

Following an order from the Italian Minister for Justice for her extradition, the woman was flown to Australia late Friday night.

She was charged with two counts of murder and refused bail in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.

Detectives from Strike Force Asca extradited a man from Italy last year.

He is currently before the courts.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
