TWO exhibitions open tonight, Thursday August 30, at the Lismore Regional Gallery, both running till October 21, and each of them utterly unlike the other.
Sam Jinks, a confronting and highly original sculptor, has crafted a series of hyper-realistic sculptures of humans and animals that exhibit as Body In Time, travelling from the Shepparton Art Museum.
Christine Willcocks is opening her first solo Lismore exhibition, the Museum of Nothing Special, whose prints, paintings and collected objects explore the ritual of collecting and how collections play a key role in the preservation of memories.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 am - 4pm, Thursday 10 am - 6pm and weekends from 10 am - 2pm and both exhibitions are free.
