WHILE Coolum teen Eseena O'Neill says she now thinks social media "sucks" the same cannot be said for Noosa teenager Tal Hymans.

Like most 16-year-old girls, @talhymans posts photos of herself at the beach, selfies, hanging out with friends and even what meals she plans eating for the day.

The difference between this girl and most other teenagers, is Tal has almost 25,000 followers and gets paid to post content to her page.

Starting the account when she was in grade nine at school, Tal says she started taking photos of the things she loved.

She built up a strong following by posting photos of herself in bikinis, which also attracted the attention of companies hoping to plug their products to an impressionable, younger audience.

Since starring in her first professional bikini shoot for Eco Coco tanning and cosmetic products, Tal hasn't looked back, now promoting bikinis, watches, phone cases, training gear and exercise equipment.

"I was with a friend and we took some photos, like normal girls do, and one of the bikini companies posted my photo on their website," she said.

"I was 15 at the time so i needed parental permission. They emailed me and my Dad and the photo shoot was on the Gold Coast so Mum drove me down.

"It was a great experience.

"Without Eco Coco I wouldn't be where I am at the moment."

Now with agency Neon Model Management, Tal promotes products for a number of brands and products, getting handsome sums of money to do so.

Tal said she still "loves" her social media and doesn't feel pressured to perform.

"It can be stressful if the agency tell me to post too much per week…It can be stressful on my followers because they don't want to see that (too much) stuff," she said.

"I enjoy it and only post things I love. I try not to over-do it."

She also loves the discounts and free products she gets to sample, while helping her friends out at the same time.

"I would love to keep doing this," she said.

"it's just what everybody does and it's a bonus that I'm getting things for it.

"People are always coming and asking if I can help them get discounts and I help my friends out with birthday presents."
