Wet deadline

Deadline for the WetlandCare Australia National Art and Photography Competition (aren’t titles getting looong these days?) – held to celebrate World Wetlands Day – is December 4.

Entry forms are available from the WetlandCare Australia website at www.wetlandcare.com.au.

The theme of the competition this year is ‘Wetlands, Biodiversity and Climate Change’ – which is also the theme for World Wetlands Day 2010.

“We have received some great entries so far, from different locations in Australia and with a variety of interpretations of the theme,” competition co-ordinator Liz Hajenko said. “We are looking forward to getting many more entries. It’s always exciting to see the art and photography produced for the competition.”

WetlandCare Australia is a not-for-profit group dedicated to protecting and restoring Australian wetlands.

The winners of the competition will be notified by December 18.
