The Lennox Point Hotel has a fine tradition in live music. With a view of the ocean, and the taste of salt, the pub is hosting the Kamikazi Thunderkats this Saturday, January 28, from 9.30pm.
Brought together and driven by a mysterious musical force, six strangers from the Northern Rivers town of Ballina forged an alliance in 2007. Their alliance was forged with a common goal - to entertain and save the world by playing ska.
(Well, it's gotta be more successful than bombing it to salvation…)
The Kamikazi Thunderkats have played their horn-driven, comedy-laced radical ska rock all over the North Coast and Queensland for the past couple of years.
Then on Sunday, January 29, at the pub The Troubadours will play their classic covers that will keep your Sunday arvo cruisy with songs from Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Eskimo Joe, AC/DC, Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, Rolling Stones, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Tina Turner, The Animals, Cold Chisel, Jewel, The Motels, Led Zepplin, Madonna, Ben Harper, Bernard Fanning, Tracey Chapman, Johnny Cash, Bee Gees, America…
