THIS year has been filled with some spectacular moments, like when Moonlight (finally) won an Oscar, to the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement.
But we've also been witness to some moments that have made us palpably cringe.
Whether it be British politician Jeremy Corbyn's high five mishap, or Ke$ha getting publicly rejected after asking Jerry Seinfeld for a hug. Maybe it was the privileged and wealthy Bella Hadid speaking "street", to Donald Trump's vigorous handshakes or tennis star Andy Murray taking down a reporter with one word, there have been more than a few awkward moments to contend with and yet we still can't look away.
Here are some of the most awkward moments of 2017.
KESHA TRIES TO HUG JERRY SEINFELD
Look, some people just aren't huggers as pop star Kesha found out when meeting Jerry Seinfeld.
POLITICIAN JEREMY CORBYN HIGH-FIVED THE WRONG BODY PART
British opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn made a right er, t*t of himself with this (non) smooth manoeuvre on a fellow politician.
TV HOST ASKED JANE FONDA ABOUT PLASTIC SURGERY
Jane Fonda was not amused when American TV personality Megyn Kelly asked her about her plastic surgery and the inimitable Ms Fonda let her know all about it.

WHEN CELEB CHEF GIADA De LAURENTIIS WAS RUDE TO NICOLE KIDMAN
When Nicole Kidman appeared on a cooking segment on Ellen alongside Giada De Laurentiis and the celebrity chef was downright rude to the Aussie Oscar winner. Nicole Kidman was not having it at all. Total burn.

KENDALL JENNER'S PEPSI AD
All she wanted to do was follow in the footsteps of Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, but the internet is a mean place.
The ad, which attempted to replicate something like a Black Lives Matter march, caused huge backlash as many thought it was trivialising demonstrations.
THE OSCARS ANNOUNCED THE WRONG WINNER
This has to be every Oscar presenter's worst nightmare.
Warren Betty accidentally announced that the best picture award went to La La Land which then had to be retracted on stage and corrected.
The real winners were Moonlight.
DONALD TRUMP SHOOK JUSTIN TRUDEAU'S HAND
This picture was instantly turned into a meme and went viral in February 2017, with people coming up with their own take on why the Canadian President looked so disapprovingly at the US president's hand.
DONALD TRUMP AND HIS ER, WIFE, MELANIA SHOOK HANDS
Six months after the Trudeau incident, a video of Melania and Donald Trump went gangbusters online after he shook her hand, told her to "go sit down", and gave her a gentle push off the stage.
BELLA HADID'S 'STREET' TALK
Bella Hadid did an interview with Complex Magazine in October about sneakers, and the internet went to town on her "homeboy" language and mannerisms.
