THE drive is on for volunteers to officiate at next month's Snake Racing Coffs Coast Rally.

Rally Australia is offering enthusiasts the opportunity to be posted on closure points along the rally routes.

With strong hopes Rally Australia 2013 will return to Coffs Harbour, the Coffs Coast Rally will be used to fine tune operations for future WRC rounds.

"The Snake Racing Rally Coffs will be one of the highlights of the Bosch ARC series for both spectators and drivers," Rally Australia Chairman Ben Rainsford said.

"The Bosch ARC is pleased to be bringing rallying back to Coffs Harbour and the ARC competitors are looking forward to tackling the challenging and exciting stages around the Coffs region."

Rally Australia Operations Manager Scott Bedford said volunteers will secure their own personal on-course spectator point for the Coffs Coast Rally and future rally events.

"Naturally this could be a progression into hopefully what we feel will be the return of the World Rally Championships next year so by accruing enough officials now obviously we will have the database to assist with future events," Scott said.

"In doing so you'll effectively secure your position as a volunteer for the event."

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
