Video of man crashing Ferrari F458 on day it was registered

VIDEO footage has emerged of a dramatic crash involving a new Ferrari Spider on an Italian motorway.

The video shows the driver of a £165,000 Ferrari F458 Spider attempting to overtake on a road in Bari earlier this week.

With a 4.5 litre V8 engine and a top speed of 198 mph the task should be a simple one, however, the driver manages to lose control of the car - sliding it and crashing it into a safety barrier.

La Repubblica reports that the incident took place at a junction in PalaFlorio in the Japigia district of Bari.

According to reports the car was registered on the morning of the crash.

The newspaper also says that the driver and one passenger were not injured in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle is not known, and mysteriously after following reports of the incident police attended the scene but were unable to find any evidence of the damaged vehicle.
