IT MIGHT have been eight-feet long, but it wasn't the biggest.

Professional snake-catcher Christian Andersen was recently called to a home in Nanango to capture a carpet python that was reported in a home.

The home owner was relieved once he removed the snake, but Mr Andersen said she didn't have anything to worry about.

"All pythons are non-venomous," he said.

"They are not a danger to humans."

Although the snake in the video is eight-feet long, he said he had caught pythons much larger.

"They get to two to three metres," he said.
