DRINKS, ANYONE? This was the bizarre sight to greet early-morning walkers and commuters on the Coffs Creek Bridge in Orlando Street yesterday.

A couple of pranksters with seemingly nothing better to do spied the Coke vending machine on the corner of Collingwood and Edgar streets at the Jetty.

The machine – used by workmen who are building apartments at the site – was wheeled away under the cover of darkness into nearby Orlando Street and left on the bridge.

The culprits tried unsuccessfully to break into it but couldn’t even grab themselves a drink for their thirsty work.
