Urbenville takes bull by the horns

The Urbenville Showground is gearing up for their annual festival and bull ride next Saturday, September 8.

They are hoping for good weather after last year's event was cancelled and the re-scheduled event in May this year was also washed out.

As well as men trying to sit on the backs of wild bulls, the festival includes kids' activities, market stalls, old motor displays, a huge charity auction and much more.

It is a fundraiser for the Urbenville Rural Fire Service, Urbenville SES and the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service.

Gates open at 11am and the bull riding starts at 2pm. Entry is $10 per person or $20 for a family of four (with kids under 12 years).
