United and Jets share the spoils

ADELAIDE United FC and Newcastle Jets FC each took home a point as the teams drew 1-1 in an A-League clash in Bathurst on Wednesday night.

The goals came in the second half. Striker Sergio van Dijk opening the scoring for United in the 57th minute.

But the Jets snatched a 73rd minute equaliser through substitute Jobe Wheelhouse to claim a share of the spoils.

The result moves Adelaide into seventh place on the table, while the Jets remain ninth.
