Two-year-old killed in truck crash

A TODDLER has been killed in a truck crash near Newcastle.

The two-year-old was travelling in a car with his 22-year-old mother and baby brother when it and a truck carrying boxes and machinery collided at Clarence Town this morning.

He died on the way to hospital.

His mother, brother and the truck driver are all in a stable condition at the John Hunter Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
