Two-piece bid for mine cash

IF THE idea of 100 gorgeous, bikini-clad girls partying on a tropical island sounds like your idea of a good time, then Bikini Island might just be what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, it's not really a place, but rather a proposed reality TV show that is directly targeting central Queensland miners for potential investors to help get the project up and running.

After a classified ad was placed in last Saturday's Morning Bulletin, the Bully set out to find out more about the intriguing project.

A spokesperson for One World Music Film and TV, the company producing Bikini Island, said CQ was one of the primary calling places for investors because of vast economic growth on the back of the resource boom and abundance of cashed-up miners.

At this stage, the spokesperson confirmed they were not casting, but simply looking for investors, but said if any investors in Central Queensland fit the producer's criteria, they would be considered for a spot on the island.

The show aimed to bring together 100 gorgeous, single women and 50 international, successful bachelors (that's two girls to each guy) from across the globe, and let them experience all the fun they could possibly have on a tropical paradise.

Recording artist and world peace ambassador Charles Dupois will host the show.

"The age group for the female contestants shall be between 18 to 35 years old, must be single have a great personality and, of course, look great in a bikini" he said.

At the end of the 28 days, the contestants who have been voted as being the most compatible in a relationship will walk away with $250,000 between them.
