Two in court for 'double murder'

TWO men have faced an Ipswich court charged over an alleged double murder at North Ipswich on Saturday night.

Luke Michael Jackson, 18, and Zachary Michael Maloney, 22, have each been charged with two counts of murder and one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Ipswich Magistrates Court was packed with media and the families of the victims and the defendants as their case was mentioned briefly this morning.

There was no application for bail, and both men were remanded in custody to appear again for a committal mention on February 8 at 2pm.
