LIGHTING UP: Lismore lanterns at the blues festival.

S SORRENSON is hosting a huge trivia night fundraiser to support the Lismore Lantern Parade this Friday, April 5, at the Gordon Pavilion in Oakes Oval, Lismore.

In its 20th year of operation, and despite being an icon for the Lismore community, the Parade still requires funding to continue.

Its community incorporated body, Lightn Up Inc, relies on a group of volunteers working alongside founder Jyllie Jackson to keep the event running.

The trivia night will have games, raffles and great prizes and be a bonding event for the community.

Book an eight-adult table with friends at Caddies Coffee & Tea Shop, 20 Carrington St, Lismore, or phone 6622 3346.

Tickets are $25 and include nibbles.

The bar will be open.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
