Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

I'M NOT a big believer in makeup companies' claims about mascara.

So I was cynical when given the Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara which claims to add length and volume in one easy step.

The first pleasant surprise was how gentle the product is.

I have super-sensitive eyes; almost every product makes them red and watery, except the Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara. No redness, no sensitivity.

I wouldn't say the product "doubled the length of my lashes" as the TV ad claims, but it certainly gave them great volume, and the girls tell me my lashes had an extra kick at the end, as if I have been using a lash curler.

There was no clumping, no sticking together.

The other great thing about this product is that it doesn't smudge (which is perfect for me because I tend to rub my eyes a bit).

An all-round great product retailing at $21.95.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
