TLK trio ready to tell stories

URBAN / Hip hop trio Teddy Lewis King are working hard to launch their new single, Stories, next April in Lismore.

The trio is formed by Blake 'Teddy' Rhodes, Mitch King and DJ Mud.

Blake Rhodes said the songs is about Aboriginal history.

"The song is about the disinformation about Aboriginal history and how its only relevant to Australian society, when convenient for marketing and self gratification," he explained.

The group is has lined up a number of very special gigs for 2017, according to Rhodes.

Their latest single, Talk A Lot, was released in late 2016.

"We have a whole bunch of gigs lined up this year but we are very exited to be performing at Nimbin Mardi Grass," he said.

Fresh from a gig at Falls Festival Byron Bay, the local outfit were working on the new song when they got the call to perform as local artists at the festival.

  • TLK will launch their single on April 7 at The Tatts Hotel in Lismore.
