Tiger mauls zookeeper to death

A TIGER has mauled a zookeeper to death in western Germany.

The animal wandered through an open gate at a zoo in the city of Cologne before it attacked and killed a 43-year-old female zookeeper, the BBC reports.

The director of the zoo shot the tiger dead.
