Three country girls

The McClymont sisters (pictured) are huge in country music.

Since forming a few years ago and releasing their debut album Chaos and Bright Lights, Brooke, Samantha and Mollie McClymont have dominated the Country Music Awards of Australia’s Group of the Year, winning the Golden Guitar three years in a row.

The McClymonts have a new album Wrapped Up Good and are headed to that centre of country music excellence, Lismore, for a show at the Lismore Workers Club this Saturday, April 10, from 7.30pm.

Soaring throughout the new album, and which no doubt will be a feature of their show in Lissie, are the distinctive vocal harmonies that are the calling card of this talented trio.

As well as their haul of Golden Guitars, The McClymonts’ album Chaos and Bright Lights was a finalist for Album of the Year in Tamworth. They also reached the finals for Song of the Year with Shotgun and Single of the Year for Finally Over Blue — the song that knocked the Eagles off a 10-month run on the number one spot on the country charts last year.

Harmony James will be the support act.

Tickets $29.50 from the club (6621 7401).
