Thieves snatch emu from wildlife park

A TRAIL of feathers was all that was left behind at the scene where an emu was stolen from her enclosure at a Sydney wildlife park.

Thieves hopped an electric fence at the Featherdale Wildlife Park and took the fully grown female sometime between Monday afternoon and Tuesday.

Police say they have concerns for the animal's welfare and have appealed for information.
