The good ol' boys are back

The Wolverines (pictured) are coming to Lismore Workers Club this Saturday, April 17.

Despite rumours that they were hanging up their beards, the Wolverines are back in the saddle making their rock ‘n roll forays throughout this wide, thirsty land.

“Contrary to reports, the Wolverines never actually broke-up, we just chose to stop touring,” the band said recently.

“Yeah, yeah, we know. Last year we said after Tamworth we are officially off the road. Well, we admit it, we were wrong. Too many tears, too many letters, too much fun to miss.”

Their new album Good Ol’ Boys marks the band’s return to gigging.

And for their Lismore show the Wolverines will be joined by Angry Anderson, guitarist Louis Shelton and someone who definitely isn’t a good ol’ boy, Victoria McGee.

Tickets are $15 from the venue (6621 7401) for this adults only show. (Good ol’ boys can scare children.)

The show starts at 8pm.
