The funky Duck

The Gold Coast’s reggae, funk and rhymes trio, Anarchist Duck (pictured), returns to the Nimbin Hotel this Friday, March 5, from 7.30pm and to The Rails in Byron this Sunday, March 7, from 6.30pm.

For a three-piece, Anarchist Duck manage to make a big sound, fusing reggae, soulful harmonies, funk and a dash of hip hop. Their previous gigs in Nimbin were huge.

“Northern NSW might as well be our home,” explains Jules (bass/singer). “It is the perfect environment for our kind of music and the mixture of beaches and forests is pretty conducive to great shows with lots of energy.”
