The Argonauts rock into space

There's a new four-piece band on the Northern Rivers - The Argonauts (pictured). And they play rock.

It's a big sound combining a sort of symphonic classical style, electronica, and indie rock. It's space rock and would go well in stadiums with its heavy, searing guitar riffs, gritty vocals, concerto-style piano pieces, fuzzed-out bass and power beats.

Their first live performance at last year's National Campus Band Competition earned the band the highest heat score in the Queensland division.

The Argonauts play the Uni Bar in Lismore next Wednesday, February 22, from 9pm.

Local outfit The Watchmakers will also perform.
