The age of dance and theatre

Norpa’s next presentation, The Age I’m In, is inspired by recorded interviews with more than 80 Australians of all ages and backgrounds. This dance theatre production is directed by star of Australian dance theatre Kate Champion and produced by Australian dance theatre company Force Majeure. It offers a fresh take on generational cliches, notions of family, friendship, love, growing old and how individuals grapple with their own place in the world. (Life, the universe, and everything...)

This fusion of dance, theatre, filmmaking, music and technical wizardry blends dance-theatre language with innovative audio-visual technology (hand-held screens).

The Age I’m In has had big seasons in the Adelaide and Sydney Festivals and a recent international tour to Ireland, Korea and Canada. So they’re well practised and ready for their shows at Lismore City Hall on Friday and Saturday, May 7 and 8, at 8pm.

Tickets are $47/38/21 from www.norpa.org.au or phone Norpa on 1300 066 772.
