A SUNSHINE Coast teen is about to have her Cinderella moment on national TV.
Tanahya Cohen of Aroona swapped her job as a cleaner to appear on Australia's Next Top Model, going from scrubbing floors one week to walking the catwalk in a Sydney fashion show the next.
"I want to be a runway girl," Cohen told The Daily. "I'd love to walk for Victoria Secret. Dreams really do come true if you work hard."
The 18-year-old beat thousands of girls for a spot in the reality show's top 12, which judge Alex Perry said was the strongest group in the show's nine seasons.
Returning after the death of judge Charlotte Dawson last year, Perry and Top Model host Jennifer Hawkins will be joined by a different guest judge each week.
"I love Alex. He's just so straight up and straight-forward," Tanahya said.
"My best friend is just like him. He tells it like it is. That made me want to impress him, '' she said.
The Caloundra State High School graduate said her biggest challenge would be overcoming her perfectionist nature.
"I have a trait where I think everything needs to be perfect," she said.
"In my mind I think I'm not good at photos and that's what kept running through my mind (during the first photo shoot)."
Australia's Next Top Model premieres on Thursday at 7.30pm on Fox8 channel.
