A TEENAGER is fighting for his life after plunging 40m from a cliff during school excursion in Sydney's south.
The 16-year-old was with a group of students at Stanwell Park when the branch he was swinging on snapped.
Teachers told police the boy lost his balance and fell from the cliff edge.
He was rushed to hospital with critical head and arm injuries.
