Teen girl stabbed in the face with scissors

A TEENAGE girl was stabbed in the face during a schoolyard spat in Sydney's south, police have alleged.

The 14-year-old was allegedly arguing with another girl when she was stabbed in the cheek and mouth with a pair of scissors.

She remained in hospital on Wednesday in a stable condition.

Police arrested a girl, also aged 14, at her Hurtsville home.

She will front court next month.
