Boy dies as truck crashes into home

BREAKING: A YOUNG boy died after a B-double truck ploughed into his bedroom while he was sleeping at his home in Urunga on the NSW mid north coast.

Police say the truck collided with a ute on a sweeping bend of the Pacific Highway at Urunga at about 5am before slamming into the house.

A man travelling in the ute also died at the scene.

Rescue workers freed a number of people who were trapped in the wreckage of the accident and paramedics took them to Coffs Harbour Hospital.
