Swimming Australia set to sack head coach Leigh Nugent

SWIMMING Australia will reportedly announce the departure of head coach Leigh Nugent as early as today in the wake of the disastrous London Olympics campaign.

News Limited reports that the Swimming Australia board told Nugent yesterday he was no longer required after making the decision the previous Thursday.

It said Nugent, who took over as head coach in 2009, did not return its calls or text messages.
