Woman airlifted to hospital after rollover near Biggenden

A HUSBAND and wife from Glenwood were involved in single-vehicle rollover on Saturday before 8am on the Isis Hwy 50km east of Gayndah near the town of Biggenden.

Both the Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg rescue helicopters flew to the scene of the crash.

On arrival, the medical teams from both aircraft found two patients had already been extracated from their four-wheel drive and were being treated by ambulance officers.

The male patient in his late fifties had suffered multiple serious injuries to his body and was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition by the Sunshine Coast crew.

The female patient in her early sixties was treated for injuries to her legs and was airlifted to the Bundaberg Hospital by the Bundaberg crew, also in a stable condition.
