The man accused of beheading Broadwater's Edward 'Ned' Kelly was excused from appearing in Lismore Local Court via video link this morning.
Chris Bruce SC, the barrister representing Jonathon Stenberg who is charged with Mr Kelly's murder, told the court there was an outstanding DNA report in relation to the incident that happened last June.
Mr Bruce did not apply for bail for Stenberg which was formally refused by Magistrate Jeff Linden.
Mr Linden adjourned Stenberg's matters until next month at Lismore Local Court.
