Steel date for Firebirds

THE Queensland Firebirds will kick off their 2013 Trans-Tasman campaign with a home match against the Southern Steel at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday, March 24.

The Firebirds have five other home games, hosting the Adelaide Thunderbirds, West Coast Fever, Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Northern Mystics and New South Wales Swifts.

All of those matches will be played in Brisbane, except the round 10 blockbuster against the defending champions, WBOP Magic, which will be held on the Gold Coast. Australian and New Zealand teams will play each other once, and the four teams from their respective countries twice.
