COUNTRY music's night of nights in Tamworth featured colourful fashions on the red carpet.

Red and burnt orange were popular colours and boots were the must-have footwear, but it was young talent Chelsea Basham who stood out in her bright yellow gown and silver sequin bodice.

Mother to be Felicity Urquhart was glowing in a white Grecian style gown and Tabby Francis, the wife of Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Geoff Mack, won most colourful outfit of the night with her Elvis patterned stockings.

The 41st annual Country Music Awards of Australia are currently being awarded in Tamworth and mark the end of the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Troy Cassar-Daley and Catherine Britt are both up for seven Golden Guitars tonight.
