Speaking words of wisdom

Postcards from the Heart is back.

Lismore City Council social planner Christine Minkov explained that the first postcards exhibition in March was one of the most successful pop up exhibitions ever produced by Lismore's Art in the Heart project, with more than 200 participants writing words of wisdom to their 16-year-old selves and 420 visitors over five days.

"There was 10,000 years of collective wisdom in that exhibition and people of all ages seemed to relate to the messages and since then we have had a constant stream of enquiries from people asking where they can see the postcards ... and others saying they would have loved to have got involved but didn't manage to write their own postcard the first time around," Christine said.

The exhibition is being held at 56 Magellan Street from Monday, July 30, to Friday, August 3.

Visitors will also be able to write their own postcards and add them to the exhibition on the spot.
