Soul hunt by the sea

This Friday, April 2, really will be a good Friday when Lisa Hunt and her band play the Ballina RSL Club.

Lisa has sold more than a million records and has had songs on numerous compilations around the globe, both as a singer and songwriter. This lady sings soul.

Lisa Hunt began singing in her gospel church in the good ol’ US of A. This was the foundation of her distinctive and soulful singing style.

She went on to study voice at the City College of New York. Lisa has shared the stage with musical greats (and here is some significant name dropping) like Eric Clapton, James Brown, Dionne Warwick, Brian May, Randy Crawford, Joe Cocker, Miles Davis and Andrea Bocelli.

So, get the party pumpin’ with the very best of soul, motown, R&B and disco from 9.15pm on the Boardwalk stage.
