Singin' it up

Local muso Chris Fisher (pictured) has recently released his fourth album Singin' for Change and he'll be singing for change when he performs at the Tatts Hotel in Lismore this Friday, February 3, from 7.30pm.

Chris began his musical journey 20 years ago at the folk clubs and music festivals of far north Queensland. He has played at Woodford, Port Fairy, National Folk and Gympie festivals, appeared in Tamworth's Star Maker grand final, created music for TV and conferences, plus played hundreds of pub and club gigs. Chris has also won eight North Coast Entertainment Industry Dolphin Awards.

Chris is a storyteller, his songs reflecting diverse life experience and a commitment to family and environmental sustainability. Respect for Aboriginal people and ancient Indigenous cultures is also a recurring theme with inspiration coming directly from Bundjalung country.

Singin' for Change is available from Music Bizarre in Lismore and online at www.fruitbatmusic.com.
