Singers workshop and concert

The Australian Voices (TAV) will bring new Australian music to the Ewingsdale Hall in Byron this Saturday, April 17. And local aspiring singers can attend workshops with the group.

The TAV Festival has brought renowned guest composers such as Stephen Leek, Daniel Walker and Nigel Butterley, to music lovers across Australia for the past 17 years.

TAV’s artistic director, Gordon Hamilton, who has lived and worked in Germany over the past five years, said he is looking forward to sharing TAV’s voice with fellow music lovers.

“We welcome all ages and all levels of talent to our festival. The aim is to work with high achieving musical professionals and have a chance at enhancing your abilities and to have a great time,” he said.

In sessions with Gordon Hamilton, Andrew Pennay and invited choral professionals, participants will experience fresh choral music from our own shores in this full day of workshops culminating in a gala concert featuring local guest ensembles. The workshop runs from 10.30am-6pm with the gala concert at 5pm. To participate in the singing workshop (including lunch and the concert) will cost you $30. To just enjoy the concert, $10.
