WOULD you get your business logo tattooed on your body?

Well, save your skin and money and avoid the pain - let Selina and Nickia 'Chico' Green do it for you.

The brother and sister are passionate about charity work and they're both into tattoo art.

So they hit on the idea of calling for donations from businesses and allowing the highest-paying business to tattoo its logo on their bodies.

Mackay businesses are invited to join others in Australia and make a donation.

Ms Green, of Emerald, is taking part in the Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer, which raises funds for the Queensland Institute of Medical Research for Cancer Research, on August 18 and 19.

"My brother (Chico, who lives on the Gold Coast) and I are both willing to sacrifice a piece of our skin for a permanent tattooed logo or advertisement for the cause.

"The challenge is on between brother and sister as to who will get the biggest donation and which company will have their logo or advertisement tattooed on each of us.

"We are both willing to pay for the tattoos ourselves, so 100% of the money you donate will go directly to cancer research and will be 100% tax deductible.

"Both my brother and I are into tattoo art and he came up with the idea last year.

"He normally does Movember but couldn't last year.

"We decided to do something together.

"I did the ride last year and my uncle was getting chemotherapy at that time, so it's close to our family.

"Every time someone comments about our tattoos, it will touch our hearts and also it helps go towards a cancer-free tomorrow.

"(Where it will go will) depend on the shape and what it is, and the higher the donation, the more daring we'll be. It's not something I'll hide.

"I'll be putting it on show."

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
