A BUSINESS expansion at Suncoast Hydraulics has created two more jobs in the Gympie region.
Owner Greg Watson has been gradually implementing hydraulics into business operations since 2011 and set up a workshop at Pine St to complement his mobile mechanical business.
He could see an opening for hydraulics in the region and invested in the equipment to increase mechanical operations and offer clients more.
The services available at Suncoast Hydraulics include hydraulic hose and fittings, hydraulic cylinder repairs, heavy machinery repairs and services.
Business will soon expand further with the introduction of a mobile hydraulic service, delivered by a fully-equipped truck.
Suncoast Hydraulics is a supplier of recommended filters and oils and will be expanding the range as well as its fitting range in the workshop.
All staff members are qualified fitters and have been trained by Ryco for hose and fitting qualifications.
Greg is a long-time Gympie local, having moved to the area from the Northern Territory with his family when he was 10 years old.
His love of mechanics began at an early age, encouraged by his father who was involved in heavy machinery. Greg went on to set up his own business in 1995 and hasn't looked back.
In the beginning, the business worked mainly in the forestry industry as the service agent for Komatsu Forest Quality.
The past 18 years has seen Greg successfully grow his business to where it is today by incorporating hydraulics and setting the standard of workmanship.
