Second chance not wasted on Selena

Selena Brown returns to The Biggest Loser: Singles tonight.

NURSING student Selena Brown does not plan on wasting her second chance in The Biggest Loser house.

The 21-year-old was the first contestant eliminated in the seventh, singles-themed series of the weight-loss show last week amid a flurry of controversy.

Red Team member Margie Cummins insisted on voting Brown out despite host Hayley Lewis giving the contestants the option not to vote anyone out.

Challenge winner Shane Edwards then won the right to bring back an eliminated contestant, and thus Brown won her golden ticket back into the competition.

"This is my chance to focus on myself," Brown said.

"I'm just going to prove to everyone I do deserve to be here."

The 21-year-old says she plans to take the "high road" when she re-enters the Biggest Loser house tonight.

"I thought 'should I yell at Margie or should I take the high road and focus on myself'," she said.

"There's no use yelling at someone. They'll probably just yell back, and who knows what will happen after that.

"I understood why Margie did it, but when Hayley turned around and said she didn't have to I was angry at Margie for not taking that opportunity."

Brown admits she wasn't taking her nutrition as seriously as she should have in the week leading up to her elimination.

"I couldn't admit to myself that I didn't do the hard work," she said.

"I was pissed off at myself and also pissed off at Margie for telling the world."

She plans to thank Black Team trainer The Commando for voicing his opinions about her elimination so strongly.

"I said to my mum 'if you want to leave dad for The Commando go ahead'," she laughed.

"I thought it was really good. I thought 'thank you for sticking up for me'."

Also in tonight's episode, viewers find out if Blue Team member James Moore decides to take the $30,000 Temptation Prize and leave the competition.

The Biggest Loser airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Ten.
