Schwarzenegger unveils plans to motivate Aussies on tour

THE "Governator" Arnold Schwarzenegger has launched a PR blitz in preparation for his motivational speaking tour of Australia.

The movie action hero turned California Governor will be a guest of honour at a series of 21 Century Education Summit seminars in June.

Schwarzenegger told morning show Sunrise on Monday that he believed people connected with his tale of success because it was the "classic immigrant story".

At 21, Austrian-born Schwarzenegger moved to the US to pursue his dream as a champion bodybuilder.

He achieved his goal, went on to become the highest earning movie star in Hollywood and then the 30th Governor of California.

Along with his achievements, Schwarzenegger promises to note his failings.

Last year Schwarzenegger's marriage to Maria Shriver broke down following revelations he had fathered a former housekeeper's child.

Schwarzenegger credited his estranged wife for the raised his "great kids" but wouldn't be drawn on whether he hoped to repair the marriage in the future.
