Save the Rosebank village shop!

Nestled in the picturesque hills of Rosebank, The Rosebank Shop and Green Frog Café has been a great place to enjoy a cup of local coffee or a meal. For the past year, it has been run by the Rosebank Co-operative Ltd.

But now this not-for-profit community enterprise is struggling and needs your support to stay open.

This Saturday, June 5, from 1pm till dark, an ‘SOS – Save Our Shop’ fundraiser will be held and everyone is encouraged to attend. There will be local music and other performances, a sausage sizzle (with vegetarian options) and kids’ games as well.

Members of the co-op are calling on the broader community to see the importance of this local community initiative. If you can muster together a group of people, come along and support the cause, have something good to eat and drink, meet others and maybe throw a few dollars in the bucket.

If it’s not supported now, the store with the good vibe could close. The co-op hopes to keep the unique little general store and friendly café open to provide lots of local employment and an outlet for local produce and crafts.

The shop is open from 8am – 6pm every day. You can contact the co-op on 6688 2440.
