Rich stands out in win No.10

THE Lions made 10 wins their goal this season, and they achieved that with an emphatic 19.14 (128) to 9.7 (61) victory over the Bulldogs at the Gabba yesterday.

Although they might not be playing finals footy this year, to finish 13th with that amount of victories was a marked improvement on last year when they won just four games.

Lions midfielder Daniel Rich, one of his side's best this season, again stood out with 25 disposals.

He also kicked four goals and was the best on ground.

Both teams were ordinary in the first quarter, with the Lions only leading 1.4 (10) to 0.3 (3), before Rich stamped his authority in the second quarter.

Matthew Boyd (37 disposals), Adam Cooney (29) and Ryan Griffen (27) led the way for the Bulldogs.
