David Hallett will host the first Live Poets of the year.

After a silly season of either poverty or excess, local poets will return to their poetic stomping ground at the Rous Hotel in Lismore next Wednesday, February 15, to reinvent the Live Poets (which is now in its 21st year).

During the summer holidays a bevy of Nimbin poets presented a show at the Woodford Festival titled Flames of Discontent, and long-time favourite regional poet Robin 'Archie' Archbold won the Woodford Story award. The Live Poets will begin the year with open and invited readings and a poetry slam. Show starts at 8pm. $6/4 gets you in.

For more info phone David Hallett on 0487 384 993.
