Scene Reminders

Chimeradour is Jeff Lang's new album. (It's his 16th album - the man keeps knocking them out…) Jeff will bring his guitars and new songs to the Bangalow A&I Hall this Saturday, October 24, from 8pm. And to make the gig an even more attractive proposition, Jeff Lang will be supported by the beautiful Jill Barber with her retro, 40s-style songs and smoky voice. Tickets are $22 from www.kupromotions.oztix.com.au, Barebones in Bangalow, Mullum Books, plus All Music & Vision stores in Byron, Ballina and Lismore. Or $27 at the door.

You can get a Taste of India without travelling all that way and adding all that carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by going to the Bangalow Catholic Hall this Friday, October 23, and enjoying the taste (yummy food) and music of India. Debapriya Adhikary and Samanwaya Sarkar are two Indian musos trained in the art of Indian classical music. Tickets are $20 at the door and the show starts at 8pm.
